Skills Taxonomy and Workforce Assessment

A skills taxonomy is a shared list of the skills your roles depend on, linked to official occupation data so it means the same thing in every team. The assessment reads it against the skills the World Economic Forum expects to grow by 2030 and your workforce plan, and ends in a written hiring and development plan.

Who it is for

  • Companies of 50 people and up planning hiring, training or reskilling budgets
  • HR and learning leaders moving toward skills-based hiring and development
  • Leadership teams asking which skills their structure will depend on by 2030

What you get

  • Each role linked to its O*NET occupation
  • Your company's 2030 skills profile read by department and against your workforce plan
  • One working session with your leadership team to agree priorities
  • A written hiring and development plan

The assessment describes roles, not people: nobody is assessed or scored. The first 12 months of Organization Viewer are included in the price for a company of up to 1,000 people on the Team or Growth plan.

The work is led personally by Anthony Hammock, an I-O psychology consultant. About the consultant

What it costs

Skills Taxonomy and Workforce Assessment, a fixed fee in US dollars
SizeScopePrice
Skills Taxonomy and Workforce AssessmentUp to 40 roles$48,736.58

Why it costs what it does

  • The assessment costs $48,736.58 for up to 40 roles. That covers linking every role to its O*NET occupation, the skills profile by department, a working session with your leadership team and the written plan. It costs less than a job architecture project for the same number of roles because there are no pay ranges to draft.
  • The fee is at the upper end of what specialist boutique HR and I-O consultancies charge, and well below what a large consulting firm typically charges for a project of the same scope.
  • It is a fixed fee, paid by card to BlissPoint Consulting, LLC when the project starts, under its own written agreement. There are no expenses, travel or add-on fees, and the price shown is the whole price.
  • If either side decides within 7 days after the kickoff session that the project isn't a fit, the fee is refunded in full.

How it works

  1. Email us to confirm the scope.
  2. You pay the fixed fee by card and send your role list and workforce plan (a CSV template is provided).
  3. We link each role to its occupation and build your skills profile.
  4. One working session with your leadership team to agree priorities.
  5. Handover of the written hiring and development plan, with two rounds of revisions included.

Payment, revisions, what you provide and how your data is handled are all in writing before you buy: how our fixed-fee projects work.

Questions

How much does a skills assessment cost?

$48,736.58 for up to 40 roles, as a fixed fee with no expenses. The fee is at the upper end of what specialist boutique HR and I-O consultancies charge, and well below what a large consulting firm typically charges for a project of the same scope.

Is this the same as 2030 Skills Readiness?

Yes. 2030 Skills Readiness is the earlier name for this project. The work is the same.

Are employees tested or scored?

No. Every score describes an occupation, not a person, and should never be used to rate or select employees.

Where do the skills come from?

The roles are linked to the U.S. Department of Labor's O*NET occupation data (or ESCO in Europe), and read against the core skills the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report 2025 expects to grow. BlissPoint is not affiliated with the World Economic Forum.
