Why it costs what it does
- An assessment of one tool for one job family costs $27,617.93. That covers preparing your applicant data, the adverse-impact statistics, the written memo and two rounds of revisions. Applicant data is deleted within 30 days of handover, and we confirm the deletion in writing.
- The fee is at the upper end of what specialist boutique HR and I-O consultancies charge, and well below what a large consulting firm typically charges for a project of the same scope.
- It is a fixed fee, paid by card to BlissPoint Consulting, LLC when the project starts, under its own written agreement. There are no expenses, travel or add-on fees, and the price shown is the whole price.
- If either side decides within 7 days after the kickoff session that the project isn't a fit, the fee is refunded in full.
This is a risk assessment, not a New York City Local Law 144 bias audit. If you need the audit, you need an independent auditor. Local Law 144 is a New York City law on automated hiring tools. BlissPoint offers an Independent Bias Audit, but not for a tool we assessed or advised on in the past 12 months, so the auditor never reviews their own advice.
How it works
- Email us with the tool's name and how you use it. We confirm the size.
- You pay the fixed fee by card and send the applicant records (a CSV template is provided).
- We run the adverse-impact checks on your data.
- You receive the written memo, with two rounds of revisions included.
- Applicant data is deleted within 30 days, confirmed in writing.

Is this a bias audit?
No. It tells you where you stand and what to fix. A New York City Local Law 144 bias audit has to come from an independent auditor.
What is adverse impact?
When a hiring step selects one group of applicants at a noticeably lower rate than another. It is checked by comparing selection rates between groups on your own data.
What happens to our applicant data?
Only the consultant leading the project sees it. It is deleted within 30 days of handover and we confirm the deletion in writing. A data processing agreement is available on request.
