Job Architecture and Leveling
A job architecture is the structure behind every job in your company: which family each role belongs to, what level it sits at, and what separates one level from the next. It is the base for fair pay ranges, clear career paths and workforce planning. We build it with you, for a fixed fee agreed before work starts.
Who it is for
- Companies of 50 people and up whose job titles grew one hire at a time and no longer line up
- HR leaders preparing pay ranges, pay transparency postings or a pay equity review
- Leadership teams planning a reorganization who need to compare roles across teams
What you get
- Your jobs sorted into families (groups of related jobs) and levels
- Each role matched to its official occupation listing (O*NET in the US, ESCO in Europe), with the skills it needs
- Draft pay ranges for each level
- A written record of how every decision was made, with the job analysis documented against the SIOP Principles (published by the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology)
A role is one distinct job, such as Payroll Specialist, however many people hold it. The finished structure is set up in Organization Viewer. The first 12 months of Organization Viewer are included in the price for a company of up to 1,000 people on the Team or Growth plan.
The work is led personally by Anthony Hammock, an I-O psychology consultant. About the consultant
What it costs
| Size | Scope | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | Up to 40 roles | $54,873.19 |
| Standard | Up to 120 roles | $58,941.37 |
| Plus | Larger projects, such as grouping jobs of equal value for EU equal-pay rules, or a company made up of several legal entities | From $73,629.84 |
Why it costs what it does
- A project for up to 40 roles costs $54,873.19. That covers the job analysis for every role, matching each one to its official occupation, sorting families and levels, drafting pay ranges, two rounds of revisions and the written record of every decision.
- The fee is at the upper end of what specialist boutique HR and I-O consultancies charge, and well below what a large consulting firm typically charges for a project of the same scope.
- It is a fixed fee, paid by card to BlissPoint Consulting, LLC when the project starts, under its own written agreement. There are no expenses, travel or add-on fees, and the price shown is the whole price.
- If either side decides within 7 days after the kickoff session that the project isn't a fit, the fee is refunded in full.
How it works
- Email us. We confirm the size from your number of roles and send the written scope.
- You pay the fixed fee by card and send your role list (a CSV template is provided).
- Kickoff session, then the job analysis and draft structure.
- Two full rounds of revisions with your team.
- Handover in Organization Viewer, with 30 days of small adjustments included.
Payment, revisions, what you provide and how your data is handled are all in writing before you buy: how our fixed-fee projects work.
Questions
How much does a job architecture project cost?
Starter (up to 40 roles): $54,873.19; Standard (up to 120 roles): $58,941.37; Plus (larger projects, such as grouping jobs of equal value for eu equal-pay rules, or a company made up of several legal entities): from $73,629.84. Each is a fixed fee with no expenses. The fee is at the upper end of what specialist boutique HR and I-O consultancies charge, and well below what a large consulting firm typically charges for a project of the same scope.
What is the difference between job architecture and job leveling?
Job architecture is the whole structure: job families, levels and how they relate. Leveling is the part that sets what each level means and places every role at one. A project delivers both.
How long does it take?
The timeline is agreed in the written scope before work starts, and starts the day we have your complete role list.
Do we get pay ranges?
Yes. Draft pay ranges for each level are part of every size. You decide the final ranges.
